The ASARC Education team offers training and assessment at all levels of the Amateur Radio Licencing scheme
There are three levels of licencing :
Foundation Licence - (the entry level),
Standard Licence, and
Advanced Licence.
Training and assessment for Foundation Licence takes a commitment of only one weekend.

The Wireless Institute of Australia (WIA) is is the peak body representing Australian Amateur Radio Operators to the various government bodies in this country and is a member of the International Amateur Radio Union. The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) is the Australian regulator responsible for, amongst other things, radio communications. When the class is announced, you will need to bring
Schedule of assessment fees.

| Practical taken alone: | $65.00 |
| If you are 18 years old or younger all fees are: | $35.00 per assessment. |
| WIA Fee of RPL (Recognition of prior learning): | $100.00 |
In addition the WIA applies a fee for callsign allocation
| Callsign Recommendation level 1: | $5.00 |
| Callsign Recommendation level 2: (A 3 or 4 letter callsign selected by you, if available, 2 choices) (A 2 letter callsign in WA, SA, NT, TAS) |

| Callsign Recommendation level 3: (A 2 letter callsign in NSW, QLD and Vic) |

ACMA Fee
| The ACMA fee for a new license is currently: | $66.00 per annum |
A $41.00 fee is charged by the ACMA to update an existing license.
We have no control over the above fees, which can be paid in cash to ASARC, or each candidate has the option to pay by credit card.
