Repeater Coverage Plots

The predicted coverage of each of our repeaters has been plotted using RadioMobile.

NOTE
These predictions should be regarded as the BEST CASE SCENARIO.
In most cases the ACTUAL coverage area will be LESS than predicted here due to factors such as cable losses, receiver sensitivity and atmospheric conditions.

Voice Repeaters

For these plots the following assumptions have been made about the end user equipment:

  • Transmit Power: 2m Mobile = 50W, 70cm Mobile = 30W, Handheld = 1W
  • Antenna Gain: 2m = 3dBi, 70cm = 6dBi
  • Receive signal at both the end user and repeater is better than -123dBm (S4)

APRS Digipeaters

For these plots the following assumptions have been made about the end user equipment:

  • Transmit Power: Mobile = 25W, Handheld = 1W
  • Antenna Gain: 3dBi
  • Receive signal at both the end user and repeater is better than -107dBm (S7) to ensure reliable data decoding
